Bank Holidays June 2025 List: Banks to remain closed for 12 days

New Delhi: There will be 12 bank holidays for the month of June 2025, according to the RBI data. Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, defines a public holiday as Sundays and any other day declared by the Central Government. The RBI roster for the month of June 2025 includes 12 holidays on account of regional and cultural holidays of the different states.

The banks will remain closed on 7th June, 2025, on account of Bakrid, except the banks of Gujarat and Kerala. Another important holiday falls on 11th June, 2025, on account of Sant Kabir Jayanti, which will have led to the closure of banks in the states of Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, the Rath Yatra, a major festival of Odisha, which falls on 27th June, 2025, calls for all the bank closures of Odisha and Manipur.

One should note that the bank holidays are accorded to the different states according to their regional and cultural requirements. Therefore, it is best advised to cross-check it with the concerned bank in order to be properly informed and to make informed choices. The list for the holidays is as follows:

On bank holidays, services like cheque clearances, fund transfers via NEFT/RTGS, and loan processing or approvals get affected. However, bank customers can opt for ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking services to perform some of the banking tasks that do not require physical banking or documentation processes.
