Gorakhpur Link Expressway closed On Tuesday, May 27, both lanes of the link expressway that was awaiting inauguration were shut down. Near Khanimpur, large dividers were erected across both lanes. Following the collapse of the Kushinagar four-lane and the closure of the connecting expressway for security inspections, the action was taken.
On Tuesday, the Kushinagar four-lane’s collapsed section was fixed. According to Jagran.com, the road was damaged here, gravel was removed, and asphalt was then installed after it was repaired once again.
The connection motorway is close to Kushinagar Four Lane. The Kushinagar four-lane road collapsed five days ago, five meters in length, five meters in breadth, and ten meters in depth, not far from the connecting highway. The hole was filled with dirt when the authorities learned about this. As soon as the issue was brought to the attention of the media on Tuesday, the sunken section of the road was repaired by clearing the dirt and gravel.
The connection expressway’s opening has been repeatedly delayed. It was originally scheduled for April’s inauguration. It was later determined that May would be the date of the inauguration.
To avoid rain-related damage to the connecting expressway, the route has been blocked.
