PM Surya Ghar Free Solar Panel: Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, the government has introduced two new models. They aim to strengthen the subsidy of the scheme and give people an opportunity to install solar panels in their homes without any cost. This will enable them to use cheap and clean electricity.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India has issued new guidelines for installing solar systems on the roof under the Prime Minister-Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. In these guidelines, two new methods have been approved for solar system payment, which will make it even easier to avail of the scheme.

These new methods will ensure that there will be no problem of money in installing solar panels. This process will be completed easily with the cooperation of Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) and Power Distribution Company.

The government gave two new options-

According to a government statement, two major models have been given under this scheme-

RESCO model-

Under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model, a third-party organization will install solar panels on the roof of your house. You do not have to pay any money to install it. You will have to pay the bill only for the electricity you use from the solar panel.

ULA (Utility-led Aggregation) model-

In this model, power companies or organizations nominated by the state government will install solar panels at your home. In this too, you will not have to spend any money, and you will be able to take advantage of cheap electricity.

Subsidy arrangement-
Under both these models, the government has made arrangements for Payment Security Mechanism (PSM) and Central Financial Assistance (CFA), so that you can get the benefit of subsidy in every situation and the method of installing solar panels is safe.

Rs 100 crore approved-
Under the latest guidelines, installing solar panels on the rooftop has now become easier than ever. With a budget of Rs 100 crore, the RESCO and ULA models will work closely with power and service companies to ensure risk-free installation. The process has been streamlined and made transparent through the national portal, giving you more options to install solar power at your home.
