Thrilling Conclusion to the GSTA Tennis Tournament

The Gujarat State Tennis Association (GSTA) Tennis Tournament 2025, hosted by Adani Sportsline, concluded with an exhilarating finish at the Sabarmati Riverfront Sports Park in Ahmedabad from May 24 to 27.


This year's tournament marked a record participation for a GSTA Level 1 event in Gujarat, attracting 268 players across various categories, as reported by Adani Sportsline. The event saw enthusiastic involvement from junior players' families, tennis enthusiasts, and local clubs.


Competitors showcased their skills in mixed, boys, girls, men’s, and women’s categories across different age groups.


In the Under-8 category, Viaan Sutariya triumphed with a score of 5-2 against Joshi Shravya. The Boys Under-10 final was a nail-biter, where Aaryan Nayak defeated the top-ranked U-10 player in Gujarat, Shashwat Patel, in a thrilling tiebreaker, 7-6 (4). Patel, who is also ranked No. 3 in the Boys U-12 category, faced Arnav Pandey in the U-12 final but lost 7-4.


Parte Shlok showcased his dominance in the Boys Under-14 final, winning decisively 7-1 against Vedang Dave, while Palash Sutariya secured a hard-fought victory of 7-5 against Darsh Shah in the Boys Under-16 category.


On the girls' side, top seed Dhanvi Dabhi, ranked No. 1 in Gujarat for Girls Under-10 and No. 3 in Under-12, overcame Tvisha Shah with a score of 7-5. However, Shah could not recover in the Girls Under-12 final, where Reona Pancholi claimed a convincing 7-0 victory.


In the Girls Under-14 final, Harsha Deshpande, a trainee at the Adani Sportsline Academy, defeated Raghavi Jajoo 7-2. Prapti Tiwari won the Girls Under-16 title with a close 7-5 match against Vani Shah and later also clinched the Women’s Singles title, edging out Foram Nayak in a tight tiebreaker, 7-6 (3), marking a remarkable double victory.


The senior categories brought even more excitement. In the Men’s Singles final, Vimal Thakor bested Jignesh Thakor with an 8-3 score. In the 45+ Singles, Parag Shah triumphed over Abhilash Nair in a closely contested match, winning 7-6 (6). The Men’s Doubles final saw Jignesh Thakor and Manan Thakor team up effectively to defeat Krishna Leuva and Rahil Mehta 7-2.


Harsh Lakhisarani emerged victorious in the 35+ Singles, winning 7-5 in the final match of the tournament.


This professionally organized tournament, held at a state-of-the-art facility, not only provided thrilling tennis action but also fostered a vibrant and inclusive environment for players of all ages.
