On May 29 and 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to West Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim, and Uttar Pradesh for two days. While there, he will dedicate, inaugurate, and lay the groundwork for many development projects totaling more than Rs 70,000 crore.
The Prime Minister posted on his official X Twitter on Wednesday, saying, “I will be attending programs in Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh over the next two days.”
“The development projects that will start in the next two days will benefit people in countless ways and bolster our determination to create a Viksit Bharat,” he said.
PM Modi will lay the cornerstone for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) project for the districts of Alipurduar and Cooch Behar in West Bengal on Thursday.
In addition to establishing over 19 CNG stations, the Rs 1,010 crore project would provide Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to over 2.5 lakh homes and more than 100 businesses and industries.
The Prime Minister’s post on X, “It is always a delight to be among the people of West Bengal,” indicated the same. The City Gas Distribution (CGD) project in the districts of Alipurduar and Cooch Behar will lay the foundation stone tomorrow, May 29, in the afternoon at a program in Alipurduar. This will assist a number of homes, enhance the environment, and provide individuals employment possibilities.
PM Modi will also speak at a public gathering in Alipurduar, Bengal, after the ceremony.

The new passenger terminal at Patna Airport in Bihar, which was constructed at a cost of about Rs 1,200 crore, will be inaugurated by the prime minister on Thursday.
One crore passengers a year will be served by the terminal.
He will also lay the cornerstone for the new civic enclave at Bihta Airport, a Rs 1,410 crore project in the city that would serve the quickly growing residential and educational districts close to Patna.

The prime minister will also be present at Paljor Stadium in Gangtok on Thursday for the golden jubilee celebrations of Sikkim’s statehood.
This would be Prime Minister Modi’s second trip to Sikkim.
A 500-bed district hospital in Namchi, a passenger ropeway at Sangachoeling in Pelling in Gyalshing district, a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji at Atal Amrit Udyan in Gangtok, and other projects will be inaugurated and the foundation stone laid by the PM, according to an official statement.
According to the statement, he will also issue a commemorative coin, souvenir coin, and stamp marking the 50th anniversary of statehood.

Additionally, he will open 132 kV substations at Ecotech-8 and Ecotech-10 in Greater Noida, which would cost more than Rs 320 crore.
A 660 MW Panki Thermal Power Extension Project in Kanpur, valued at about Rs 8,300 crore, will be inaugurated by PM Modi. According to the release, he would also inaugurate three 660 MW units of the Ghatampur Thermal Power Project, which is valued at approximately Rs 9,330 crore.
At Kanpur’s Kalyanpur Panki Mandir, rail overpasses over the Panki Power House Railway Crossing and Panki Dham Crossing on Panki Road will also be launched.
In addition, a 40 MLD (million liters per day) tertiary treatment facility valued at more than Rs 290 crore would be built at Bingawan in Kanpur. Reusing treated sewage water will be made possible by it.
PM Modi will lay the groundwork for the expansion and fortification of the road that connects the Prayagraj Highway’s Narwal Mode (AH-1) to the four-lane Kanpur Defence Node under the Defence Corridor, as well as the enlargement and fortification of the Gauria Pali Marg for Kanpur’s industrial growth.
According to the announcement, he would also present certificates and checks to the recipients of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, PM Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojna, and National Livelihood Mission.
