Desperate Situation Leads to Roof Climb

A 25-year-old resident of Sirauli, Bareilly, was rescued by local authorities after he threatened to jump from the roof of a two-story building, driven by relentless humiliation. This intense five-hour rescue operation unfolded on Sunday, May 25.

The individual, identified as Gurudev, faced ridicule from villagers and even family members who could not comprehend how he could marry a woman perceived as 'model-like' and possessing a 'Miss Universe-type attitude.'

Facing Humiliation After Marriage

Gurudev tied the knot about a month prior, but instead of celebrating with friends, he encountered mockery and derogatory remarks regarding his marriage to a woman considered exceptionally attractive.

Local resident Dainik Bhaskar noted, 'They kept questioning, 'How did you manage to marry such a girl?' It escalated from playful teasing to a complete assault on his character.'

The Rescue Operation

On the afternoon of May 25, around 4:00 PM, authorities were alerted to the situation. Officers from the Sirauli Police Station quickly arrived and cordoned off the area. They prepared tarpaulins, mattresses, and nets to cushion any potential fall while attempting to persuade Gurudev to come down.

After approximately three to four hours of effort, the police successfully established a rescue plan. With the collaboration of the Sirauli Police and local residents, Gurudev was safely brought down from the roof.
