A heartbreaking incident occurred in Kota district, Rajasthan, where a 17-year-old student reportedly ended his life after receiving a low score in his class 10 examinations.
The tragedy unfolded within the jurisdiction of the Vigyan Nagar police station, where authorities reported that the student jumped in front of an oncoming train. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event, with the victim identified as Dushyant.
Upon receiving the report, police quickly arrived at the scene and identified the student through his motorcycle, which was found parked nearby. They traced the bike's registration number to notify Dushyant's family, who were devastated by the news.
Dushyant had recently started working at a local shop, and on the day of the incident, he was sent to collect some items but failed to return. The shopkeeper subsequently alerted the family about his absence.
According to friends, Dushyant was deeply troubled by his score of 53% in the Rajasthan Board exams, as he had hoped for a first-division result. His family echoed this sentiment, describing him as a bright student who had anticipated better outcomes.
The authorities have sent the body for a postmortem examination and have initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
In a separate incident, two police officers sustained injuries during an encounter with a notorious criminal in Hapur. The criminal, identified as Naveen Kumar, a sharpshooter linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was killed during the confrontation with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and the Delhi Police's Special Cell.
According to Additional SP Raj Kumar Mishra, the police received intelligence about Kumar's presence in Hapur, leading to an interception. During the encounter, Kumar opened fire, prompting a retaliatory response from the police, which resulted in his injuries. He later succumbed to his wounds in the hospital. Kumar had over 20 criminal cases registered against him.
