pledged to turn Brexit Britain into a cryptocurrency hub in a major speech.

The Reform UK leader said his insurgent party would "launch in Britain a crypto revolution" and make London "one of the major trading centres of the world".

Speaking at the Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas, he unveiled plans to bring forward a new "crypto bill" if Reform wins the next general election.

Reform chairman Zia Yusuf said the legislation "unleashes a bold, post-Brexit plan to make Britain the world's leading hub for cryptocurrency and digital finance".

Writing in City AM, he added: "Reform UK believes in the awesome, dynamic potential of the British people. This bill is a firing gun on a transformative agenda to deliver a new British economy, fit for the digital age.

"To turbocharge growth, level the playing field for the young and deliver opportunity for all citizens of the United Kingdom. It's time for Britain to lead again."
