In such a situation, there are some natural and healthy alternatives that maintain the spiciness in the food and do not cause any harm. Let us know about such spices that you can use in place of red or green chillies.

black pepper

Benefits- Rich in antioxidants, improves digestion and strengthens the immune system. Taste- Spicy but mild, especially tastes good in soups, vegetables and dal.

Ginger powder or fresh ginger

Benefits- Reduces inflammation and pain, excellent for stomach problems. Taste- Gives both pungency and depth, especially in gravies or curries.

Black cumin or celery

Benefits- Improves digestion and gives relief from gas and indigestion. Taste- Mildly spicy and pungent, but very healthy.
