School Reopen 2025 Date: The fifth month of the year i.e. May is about to end. The process of opening schools has started in various states. While many states of North India are in the grip of severe heat, the weather is completely different due to heavy rains from Maharashtra to South India. Summer vacation has ended in some states, while in some schools there is a possibility of opening in July. However, the decision can also be changed given the fluctuations in the weather.
In most states, summer holidays are declared as soon as the temperature rises. States like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu have already released their holiday calendars for 2025. In these, the dates for the opening of schools after summer vacation have been fixed based on weather conditions, educational boards, and government advice. State-run or aided schools follow government instructions, while private institutions have different schedules.
Schools closed due to heatwave.
Schools were closed early due to heatwaves in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha. In most states of North India, the heat started increasing in April itself. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon may reach Kerala on 27 May 2025. This is much earlier than in previous years. Due to this, the schedule of opening of schools in various states of South India may change. Temperatures have dropped in many states including UP, MP, Delhi-NCR, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Bihar.
