Delhi: In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Eliminator match, Mumbai Indians (Mi) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 20 runs. Mumbai Indians made a brilliant start batting first. Team veteran batsman Rohit Sharma batted in 50 balls and scored an excellent innings of 81 runs, which included 9 fours and 5 sixes. Player of the Match was adjudged for his brilliant innings.

Rohit talked about his batting

After the match, Rohit said that he wanted to score even more half -centuries but today’s innings was very important for him. He said, “I have just scored four fifties and prefer to make more. I know how important it is to contribute to the team in a big match like eliminator. I am happy that I could get my team to a good position.”

The former MI captain further said, “When I get into the field, I only play for the team. Today luck also supported me. Some catches were missed, but after that I had to play and maintain the rhythm. I have played such shots in the entire tournament before, but the fielders have gone into the hands of the fielders. Today I got some luck and I was able to take advantage of it.”

He said, “Our bowlers also bowled amazing. I knew that it would be difficult to bowl after dew, but our bowlers kept patience and bowled in the right direction. Johnny Bairstow also batted well. We learned how important it is for the team to play together in this season.”
