A decade after gaining global recognition for their viral cover of Justin Bieber’s song Baby, Canadian-American pop singer, sisters Sania and Muqaddas—known as the “Justin Biebs” of Pakistan—have opened up about the discrimination they still face in the music industry.

The sisters shot to fame in 2015 when their rendition of Baby went viral online, earning them widespread attention. Since then, they’ve performed on platforms such as Coke Studio and remained active in the music scene for over ten years.

Recently appearing on the comedy talk show Mazaaq Raat, Sania and Muqaddas spoke candidly about their personal lives and careers.

During the interview, the sisters revealed that they are both married. Sania, the elder of the two, shared that she has two children, with her eldest being eight years old. Muqaddas confirmed that she is married but does not have children yet.

Coming from a financially underprivileged background, the sisters credited fate and divine blessing for their success. They expressed their desire to continue climbing the ladder of fame and hoped their aging parents would live to witness their success.

Muqaddas mentioned that as the elder sibling, Sania naturally takes on the responsibilities of the big sister at home as well.

When asked about their experiences in the music industry, Muqaddas disclosed that despite earning success and recognition, they are still judged by their socioeconomic background. She lamented that people often inquire about their education, family, and other personal aspects, using these factors to evaluate their worth.

She emphasized that this discrimination isn’t something she merely sensed—it’s something she has seen and heard with her own eyes and ears.
