On Friday, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi conducted a visit to the forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. His objective was to evaluate the operational readiness of the troops stationed in the area. General Dwivedi specifically focused on the forward areas and posts in the Sunderbani sector to assess the preparedness of the units and their structures.
According to a post shared on the social media platform X by the Additional Director General of Public Information of the Indian Army, General Dwivedi reviewed the operational capabilities of the soldiers during his visit to the forward areas in the Sunderbani sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The post also mentioned that the Formation Commander provided insights regarding the current security landscape and the situation along the Line of Control.
During his visit, General Dwivedi honored Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari of the Border Security Force (BSF) with a certificate of appreciation for her exceptional bravery and operational efficiency during Operation Sindoor at the Jammu border. She had successfully led her troops in responding decisively to three enemy forward posts across the 'Zero Line', effectively silencing them.
The commendation for Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari highlights the courage displayed by the BSF personnel in challenging situations. Commanding a post located very close to a Pakistani outpost, she demonstrated remarkable leadership and tactical skill.
