BTS ARMY has been looking forward to June all year long, as all of the seven members of BTS will finally complete their mandatory military service. Many had been hoping that the group would reunite as soon as the last member, Suga , is scheduled to be discharged on June 21. With the band's 14th anniversary also taking place around the same time, buzz of a reunion has been loud and strong.
However, it seems that the fans will have to wait much longer to see all seven members together again.
BTS might not be reuniting after military enlistment is overAs per schedule, by June 21, all members of BTS will return to normal civilian life after serving their military enlistment period. Earlier comments from the CFO of the group’s management agency have been surfacing, leaving fans wondering whether the comeback or the reunion will happen any time soon after June or if they will have to wait much longer.
In 2023, CFO Lee Kyung Joon had shared some information about BTS’ return. During a Q3 earnings call, he had shared, “We are currently in discussions with the members about activities in 2026. While a full group comeback would generate considerable revenue, we expect it will not account for as high a share of our earnings as in the past, as our other artists and new ventures are also contributing to growth."
Not only that but during an annual general shareholders' meeting that was held in March this year, the CFO yet again talked about the group’s possible reunion. He shared that “We are still in the process of discussing the group's promotion plans for 2026. Therefore, we do not have any projections laid out at this time."
