Opal Suchata Chuangsri, a native of Phuket, is a student of international relations and a model. Opal strongly voices her opinion and creates awareness about breast cancer. At the age of 16, Opal was found with a lump in her breast, which although non-cancerous, inspired her to be vocal about the disease. Since then, she has been raising awareness about breast cancer and early detection in Thailand.
This is not the first pageant that Opal won. In 2024, Opal represented Thailand at the international Miss Universe 2024 and finished as third runner-up. However, her third runner-up title was later revoked after she accepted the Miss World Thailand 2025 crown before completing her 12-month reign as Miss Universe Thailand.
This year, a total of 108 contestants participated in the beauty pageant and India was represented by model Nandini Gupta. The 72nd Miss World finale was hosted by Stephanie del Valle (Miss World 2016). For the big day, Stephanie chose to wear traditional Indian attire by opting for a lehenga. Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter also marked their presence at the event and powerpack performances.
Coming to the judging panel, then it consisted of actor Sonu Sood, who received the Miss World Humanitarian Award, Sudha Reddy, the 2025 Global Ambassador for Beauty With a Purpose, Dr. Caryna Turrell, Miss England 2014 and health physician from the University of Cambridge. Julia Morley, CBE, Chairwoman of Miss World, headed the jury.
