A 30-year-old delivery worker was assaulted by two assailants armed with a knife in the DBG Road police station area of Delhi on Sunday morning. The victim, identified as Dharmendra, was riding his bike home when the suspects, who were on a scooter, approached him. They forcibly took his mobile phone and approximately Rs 4,000 in cash.
When Dharmendra attempted to resist, one of the attackers stabbed him in the stomach before both fled the scene. He was subsequently taken to RML Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Authorities have initiated a manhunt to apprehend the suspects, and an investigation is currently in progress.
In a separate case, the Delhi Police reported that a 32-year-old woman named Maneka Singh was found strangled to death in Baljit Nagar, within the jurisdiction of the Patel Nagar police station, on Saturday. Officers arrived at the scene after receiving a tip-off and discovered that Maneka, a housewife, had been murdered. Her husband is employed as a salesman at a furniture store in Kirti Nagar. Police have arrested a 28-year-old suspect, Dharmendra Kumar, in connection with the murder.
