Ukraine has carried out an audacious mass drone attack and destroyed 40 nuclear-capable bombers deep inside in what's being called Russia's Pearl Harbour. The small kamikaze first-person-view (FPV) drones were allegedly hidden under the roofs of containers inside trucks, The Telegraph reports. The trucks would be positioned close to their targets (four airbases around ) so the drones were in range. Then, the lids of the containers were opened remotely, letting to drones out to strike the bombers.
It's reported footage showing Russian planes being attacked is from the Belaya base in Siberia and there are also said to have been attacks on Olenya air base in the Arctic. With drones also targeting the Ivanovo air base, northeast of Moscow, and Dyagilevo base, south of the capital. Belaya base is an astonishing 3,400 miles from the front line in Ukraine, making the attack potentially even more surprising for the Russians. It's said at least 40 aircraft could have been destroyed.
