Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav had high expectations in IPL 2025, but the injury obstructed his game. Despite trying to return to two matches, a back injury brought him out of the team again. Now Mayank is going to New Zealand to recover, where he will undergo treatment with the same doctor who successfully treated Team India’s star fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah.

New Zealand will be waiting for treatment and surgery
Mayank Yadav has become necessary to stay out of the ground due to a serious bench injury. Now he will go to New Zealand, where he is also likely to undergo surgery. Jasprit Bumrah also treated the injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the same place and returned soon after fit. Mayank is also expected that his treatment will be successful and he will rejuvenate the batsmen at his own pace.

There was a sensation in IPL 2024
Mayank Yadav made a bang in IPL 2024. Playing 4 matches for Lucknow Super Giants, he took 7 wickets from an economy of 6.98. His fast bowling created fear among the batsmen, which also gave him a place in Team India. In October 2024, he made his T20 international debut against Bangladesh. So far he has taken 4 wickets in 3 T20I.

Break found due to injury
The injury has stopped Mayank’s game. He was retained by LSG in the IPL auction before this season, but could not play the initial matches. Played two matches in the beach season, but then the injury drove him away from the ground. Now Mayank’s entire focus is on getting back his fitness so that he can return to the field soon.
