Inspirational story of smart farming

Success of Smart Farming: Himanshu Nath’s inspirational story: Himanshu Nath Singh of Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh has achieved amazing success in sugarcane and banana cultivation.

He got a turnover of over Rs 1 crore annually by growing 2470 quintal sugarcane in one hectare. This achievement is not only inspiring, but also shows that right technology and hard work has immense possibilities in farming. Come, let’s know this interesting journey in detail.

Convert challenges into opportunity

Agriculture in India is still the mainstay of the livelihood of millions of people. However, rising costs, declining fertility of soil and weather uncertainty have created many challenges for farmers.

Many farmers are being forced to quit farming, but Himanshu Nath Singh did not give up. He combined traditional and modern agricultural techniques. Using natural fertilizers such as organic manure, cow dung and groat nectar, he improved soil health, which increased both crop quality and production.

Smart farming of sugarcane and banana

The secret of the success of Himanshu’s smart farming is to sow sowing and advanced technology at the right time. They sow sugarcane from late September to October.

They believe that sowing at the right time is necessary for the quality of the crop. In addition, they cultivate potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower and mustard with bananas, which maintains additional income as well as soil fertility. They make the production better by adding a trolley cow dung per bigha.

Advanced technology and mini tractor contribution

Himanshu has adopted advanced varieties of sugarcane such as 0118, 14235, 16202 and 0238, providing more production and immunity.

He kept the distance between plants 1 feet and 5 feet between queues, which saves 90% of the deposition and 50% seed. The use of mini tractors has made it easier for weeding and muding, which has reduced time, hard work and cost. His technology is an inspiration for other farmers.

1 crore turnover of Rs: new hope

Himanshu cultivates sugarcane in 10 hectares. 2470 quintal sugarcane production is the result of their hard work.

Talking about cost and profit, a turnover of Rs 100 costs Rs 40 and a profit of Rs 60. Thus, their annual turnover is more than Rs 1 crore. Recently, they have been associated with the Global Farmer Business Network (GFBN), which promotes sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship. His story of success of smart farming is a source of inspiration for others.
