Here are seven coffee mistakes that could negatively affect your health:

1. Overconsumption of coffee

Experts recommend limiting coffee intake to no more than three cups per day. Drinking excessive amounts can lead to insomnia, high blood pressure, and heart problems.

2. Not drinking enough water

Coffee is a diuretic, which means it can lead to increased urination and potential dehydration. It is essential to balance your coffee intake with enough water throughout the day to avoid dehydration- issues such as fatigue, headaches, and reduced cognitive function.

3. Using low-quality coffee beans

The quality of your coffee beans significantly influences both the taste and health benefits of your coffee. Using old or low-quality beans can result in a poor-tasting brew and reduce the positive effects coffee can offer. Always opt for fresh, high-quality beans to get the best flavor and benefits.

4. Adding whipped cream

While whipped cream may make your coffee taste indulgent, it adds unnecessary calories and can contribute to weight gain over time. This can also increase your cholesterol levels and raise the risk of heart disease. For a healthier alternative, enjoy your coffee without the extra toppings.

5. Overloading with sugar

Excessive sugar intake in coffee can lead to fat accumulation, contributing to conditions like fatty liver disease, diabetes, and heart disease. 7. Drinking coffee before bed

Drinking coffee on an empty stomach can increase stomach acid levels, leading to digestive discomfort, acid reflux, and other gastrointestinal issues, per The Times of India. It is recommended to have a small snack or breakfast before your coffee to help protect your stomach.
