The New York Liberty achieved a historic victory, defeating the Connecticut Sun 100-52. This win marked the largest margin in the franchise's history and matched their own record of 19 successful 3-pointers.

The Liberty now stand at 7-0 for the first time since the WNBA's inaugural season in 1997. Sabrina Ionescu led with 18 points, while Jonquel Jones contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Connecticut struggled with their shooting, making only 6 out of 28 attempts from beyond the arc. Tina Charles and Jacy Sheldon each scored 10 points for the Sun. The Liberty had a chance to break their own record after hitting 18 three-pointers by the third quarter but managed just one more in the final period.

In this opening game of the Commissioner's Cup tournament, Breanna Stewart and Leonie Fiebich also scored 13 points each for New York. The team led by as much as 57 points during the match. This dominant performance sets a strong tone for their campaign in this three-week-long competition.

The Minnesota Lynx also maintained their perfect start, improving to a 7-0 record after defeating the Golden State Valkyries 86-75. Napheesa Collier was instrumental with her double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds. Courtney Williams added another 20 points, while Kayla McBride contributed with 16.

Golden State led at halftime with a narrow edge of one point but faltered in the third quarter. Veronica Burton was impressive for the Valkyries, scoring 21 points on efficient shooting. Kyara Linskens added support off the bench with all her points coming in the first half.

Aces Edge Out Storm

The Las Vegas Aces secured a narrow victory over Seattle Storm, winning 75-70 despite a late comeback attempt by Seattle. A'ja Wilson led Las Vegas with 19 points, while Jewell Loyd made two critical free throws to seal the win against her former team.

Seattle's Gabby Williams scored a team-high of 20 points, but key players Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins struggled offensively. The Aces built an early lead thanks to Jackie Young's eight first-quarter points and maintained it through strategic plays.

Seattle managed to reduce their deficit late in the game but couldn't complete their comeback as Loyd's free throws ensured Las Vegas held on for victory. This win marks Las Vegas' second consecutive triumph as they continue to build momentum this season.

The recent matches highlight significant performances across teams, showcasing both dominant victories and closely contested battles. As teams like New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx continue their unbeaten runs, others like Las Vegas Aces demonstrate resilience against tough opponents.
