England (ENG) will take on the West Indies (WI) in the third ODI of the on Tuesday, 2nd June. England are coming off a thrilling 7-wicket win in the second ODI, thanks to a brilliant unbeaten 166*(139) from Joe Root, which nearly single-handedly helped the home side chase down the target and claim an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
The match will take place at the Kennington Oval in London, in what could serve as a match to salvage some pride for the West Indies. England have a strong batting line-up with quality bowlers suited to home conditions. The West Indies have a good side too, which has unfortunately not been able to win a match in the series, despite putting up a fight.
England's batting features free-flowing individuals who bat around Joe Root. The new setup includes an influx of players like Jacob Bethell, Jamie Smith, and a few others, who could represent the future of English cricket. Harry Brook's captaincy has been impressive and could go a long way, provided success continues in this period. With one match to go, England may consider giving opportunities to players who have not featured in the first two ODIs.
The visiting side has plenty of talented players like Brandon King, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Jayden Seales, and Gudakesh Motie, to name a few. A series win for England would mark their first ODI series triumph since their victory against Ireland in 2023. One can expect a good contest between the two sides, as there will be no pressure on either team to force a result.

The third and final ODI of the series between England and the West Indies will happen at Kensington Oval in London. The wicket is usually good for batting due to the flat surface. As it will be a D/N Match, batting could be much easier, as the wicket could get better to bat on, with the progression of the match.
Pacers must make good use of the new ball and use variations in the latter half of the innings. Spinners can make use of the fairly longer boundaries. The dimensions of the ground play a key role for both batters and bowlers. The team winning the toss would not mind bowling, as batting could become fairly easier in the second innings.
