Popular digital creator and social media influencer Areeka Haq has opened up about her struggle with depression and how actress Saba Qamar stepped in to offer timely support during one of the most difficult phases of her life.

Areeka, who commands a massive following with over 12 million TikTok fans and 4.2 million followers on Instagram, spoke candidly about the emotional toll of online bullying she faced after appearing in a music video with Asim Azhar and Young Stunners.

“I wasn’t even 18 when the video was released, and the backlash I received was heartbreaking,” she said. “People questioned my presence in the video, saying things like, ‘Why was she chosen?’ That kind of hate really affected me mentally and pushed me into depression.”

While her family stood by her during this challenging time, Areeka shared that one of the most unexpected yet impactful sources of support came from the acclaimed Pakistani actress Saba Qamar.

“Saba Qamar took my number from Asim Azhar and personally called me,” Areeka recalled. “She said she wanted to speak to me. She gave me advice and really helped calm me down. Everything she said made such a difference—I didn’t even need to go to therapy because of how much her words helped.”

Areeka’s story not only sheds light on the harsh realities of cyberbullying faced by young influencers, but also highlights the importance of kindness and support within the entertainment industry. Her resilience and openness about mental health have earned her even greater admiration from fans who continue to follow her inspiring journey.
