Who Can Apply?
Anyone eligible for a PAN can apply for PAN 2.0. Existing PAN holders can request a QR-coded e-PAN without reapplying.

Step 1: Identify Your PAN Issuer
Check the back of your PAN card to see whether it was issued by NSDL or UTIITSL, as the process varies slightly for each. Once you’ve identified the issuer, proceed accordingly.
If Your PAN is Issued by NSDL-
Visit the Official Portal: Go to the NSDL e-PAN portal.
Enter Your Details: Provide your PAN number, Aadhaar (if applicable), and date of birth.
Verify Information: Double-check that all the details match your official records.
OTP Verification: Choose your preferred option to receive a one-time password (OTP). Enter it within 10 minutes.
Download e-PAN: If you’re applying within 30 days of issuance, it’s free for up to three requests. After that, a nominal Rs 8.26 (GST included) is charged.
Get PAN via Email: The e-PAN PDF will be sent to your registered email within 30 minutes.
If Your PAN Is Issued by UTIITSL-
Access the UTIITSL e-PAN Portal.
Provide Necessary Details: Enter your PAN, date of birth, and captcha code.
Update Email if Needed: If your email isn’t registered, you’ll be able to update it once the full PAN 2.0 rollout is complete.
Complete the Request: Free if done within 30 days of PAN issuance. After that, Rs 8.26 applies.
Receive via Email: Once processed, your e-PAN will be delivered to your inbox in PDF format.
