Islamabad witnessed a tragic incident on Monday as Sana Yousuf, a young TikTok content creator originally from Chitral, was shot and killed outside her home by an unidentified assailant. The shooting occurred within the jurisdiction of the Sumbal Police Station and has sparked concerns about the safety of social media personalities in the region.

According to preliminary information provided by law enforcement authorities, Sana Yousuf was approached by a man outside her residence. Eyewitnesses and police sources report that a brief exchange of words took place between the two before the suspect suddenly pulled out a firearm and opened fire. Sana was hit by two bullets and tragically died on the spot due to the severity of her injuries.

Emergency services were promptly called to the scene, and her body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital. There, a postmortem examination was conducted. Once the legal formalities were completed, her remains were handed over to her grieving family.

Investigators are treating the case as a potential personal dispute, and there are suspicions that the attacker may have been someone known to the victim, possibly a relative. Police officials have begun collecting forensic evidence from the crime scene and are currently reviewing surveillance footage from nearby CCTV cameras in an effort to identify and apprehend the suspect.

As of now, the assailant remains at large, and a manhunt is underway. Authorities have assured the public and the victim’s family that all available resources are being deployed to ensure swift justice.
