In India, people now need new options to pay. For this reason, they are rapidly resorting to Unified Payment Interface (UPI), which was introduced in 2016. Millions of people are using this system and it is increasing every year. Now, UPI has introduced a new feature, under which users can use their credit cards. If you do not have money in the bank, you can still pay through the UPI with a credit card.
This service is available to the Rupay Credit Card holders of major banks. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has provided the facility to link Rupay Credit Card to all UPI users. You can activate your Rupay Credit Card on other payment apps like phone, Google Pay and Paytm.
For this, you have to open your UPI Payment App. If you want to add it to PhonePe, go to the setting menu on the left. There, click on Rupay Credit on UPI and add your Rupay Credit Card. Enter the final six digits, expiry date and pin. Next, you have to make a pin to use Rupay Credit Card.
To add to Google Pay, open the app and go to the settings. There, click on the setup payment method and select the option of Add Rupay Credit Card. Next, complete the further process just like PhonePe.
