New Delhi: A gruesome murder occurred in Delhi's Jamia Nagar on June 1. A 40-year-old woman, who used to live with his husband's second wife and her children, was found dead in her house in the early hours of Monday. She was lying in a pool of blood when the police found her at her home. Upon investigation, a police official said, the second wife admitted to killing the woman over a discord between them.
According to the official, the husband is in Saudi Arabia while his family stays in Delhi. The second wife has three sons, aged 14, 13 and six. Along with the mother, the two elder brothers also confessed to killing the woman.
They alleged that there was domestic discord and personal insecurity between the two ladies, which was the motive for committing the murder.
The police learned about the incident through a PCR call at around 4.25 AM. The caller suspected theft and possible violence at a residence in Jamia Nagar.
When the police reached the flat on the fourth floor, they found the woman's body lying on the ground. They said that there were multiple stab injuries to her neck and abdomen. In the initial investigation, the police found no signs of forced entry.
However, later confessions from the second wife and his children gave a dramatic turn to the case. Meanwhile, their neighbours also affirmed that the two women used to have frequent quarrels over domestic issues.
