Last year, producer Boney Kapoor confirmed that No Entry 2is in the making with a new star cast including Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. He also revealed that Anil Kapoor who was one of the stars of the original film was upset with him over the casting change.
It was also reported that the film will be going on floors soon and the recce was done for the same.
Amid all this, there were recent reports that claimed that the highly anticipated sequel has hit a roadblock with the exit of Diljit Dosanjh and it was rumoured to be due to creative differences.
Later, Boney Kapoor dismissed the rumours and stated that there were date issues with Diljit and the same is being worked upon.

However, it looks like the things didn’t fall in place as director Anees Bazmee recently confirmed Diljit Dosanjh’s exit from the sequel.
He told News18, “I’m just happy that the film is getting made. There’s no bigger joy than that. At this point, woh hi ho raha hai jo upar waala chahta hai. I work with a lot of earnestness and I leave the rest to god. It’s not like the films that I’ve only worked with actors who’ve been my first choices on the films I’ve done so far.”
He added that he isn’t worried about it much and is now waiting for the film to go on floors soon with a different actor taking over Diljit’s role, “I’ve had to work with actors who were my second and even third choices. But once these films got released, audiences felt that those actors fit the characters perfectly and nobody else could’ve pulled off those parts the way they did.”
Confirming that the reason behind Diljit’s exit is date issues, he said, “Our last meeting, which was the second time that we met, lasted for 10 minutes. We were discussing his dates because there was a bit of back and forth. He told me that he’s trying to work out his dates. Boney ji was also there. Since it’s a big film, everything that happens makes news. I’m used to do these things and I don’t let such things bother me. Main kabhi safaiyaan nahi deta. Jo hona hai, woh hi hoga aur jo hoga, achcha hi hoga. (I never give clarifications. Whatever is meant to happen, will happen and whatever happens, will be for the best).”
He further praised Diljit for his honesty and stated, “Diljit is a very honest human being and he’s a very talented actor. In all my life, I’ve met him for just 20 minutes. The first time I met him was when I went to narrate the script to him. He didn’t even listen to the full script. He told me, ‘Kahaani samajh aa gayi hai. Aap picture bana rahe hai. Teen heroes hai. Comedy hai. No Entry dekh ke hum kitne hasse hai.’ And he instantly agreed to do the film. He’s such a simple guy.”
