Indore. New cases of Corona are constantly increasing in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, two new variants of Omikron of Kovid-19 have been confirmed in Indore. This is confirmed through genome sequencing conducted at the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune. Hole Genome Sequening (WGS) report of Covid positive patients found two sub -lines XFG and LF 7.9.

In fact, the Samples of Seven Monona patients recently found in Indore were sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune for genome sequencing. On Tuesday, MGM Medical College Indore received the report of the said patients. Out of these seven samples, XFG lines were found in five. While LF 7.9 has been identified in two samples. Both of them belong to Omikron (BA2 -like). They were tested through the Oxford Nanopor sequencing platform.

Dr. Arvind Ghanghoria, Dean of MGM Medical College, said on Tuesday that BA2 Omikron has been detected in the report from Pune. It is a common virus which is not fatal. He said that another patient of Corona has been found in Indore on Tuesday. The 62 -year -old man has received travel history of Ahmedabad. Home isolated. The situation is normal.
