Telangana to get active rain spell after June 7: IMD

Hyderabad: Several districts in Telangana, including Suryapet, Nalgonda, Khammam and Mahabubabad, experienced light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday, accompanied by a few isolated spells of thunder and lightning.

Due to the dry spell of the last three days, temperatures have risen. The western and southern parts of the state, including Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar and Vikarabad, recorded temperatures between 33⁰Celsius and 45⁰Celsius.Meanwhile, northern, eastern and some central parts of Telangana experienced temperatures between 37⁰Celsius and 40⁰Celsius.The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in isolated areas of Telangana over the next few days.

Gusty winds are also expected in isolated areas, particularly in Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Warangal, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.”After 7 June, a good spell of rain is likely to return. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and continue to follow weather updates,” said an IMD official.
