South superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s first production film ‘Shubham’ is now ready to hit the OTT platform after making a splash in theatres. This Telugu horror-comedy film was well-liked for its unique story and funny characters. Samantha has produced this film under her production company, Tralala Moving Pictures.
The film stars Harshit Reddy, Sriya Kontham, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondipudi and Vanshidhar Goud in lead roles, while Samantha appeared in a special role. Fans are now eager to watch this thrilling story from home.
Shubham was released in theatres on May 9, 2025. Now, it is going to stream on JioHotstar. JioHotstar shared a post on X (Twitter), saying: “Katha Aarambh this June! Watch #SubhamOnJioHotstar.” The film will stream in Telugu from June 13, 2025. Right now, it will be available only in Telugu. But fans hope it will come in other languages soon.
The story of Shubham is set in a small town named Bheemilipuram in the early 2000s. The main character is a cable TV operator, Srinu (Harshith Reddy). He is newly married to Srivalli (Sriya Kontham). After watching a TV serial called Janam Janmala Bandham, the wives of Srinu and his friends start acting strangely. Every night at 9 PM, they behave like they are in another world. To find out the truth, Srinu and his friends take help from a mysterious woman, Mayi Matasri (Samantha). The film has both scary and funny parts.
Shubham is directed by Praveen Kandregula. The story is written by Vasantha Mariganti. The camera work by Mridul Sujit Sen and the background music by Vivek Sagar make the film more exciting. Samantha’s role is short but strong. Many people say this horror-comedy is good to watch with family.
