Vietjet has launched a new international route connecting Singapore and Phu Quoc, voted world’s second most beautiful island.

The route operates four return flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from May 30.

Flights depart Phu Quoc at 3:45 p.m. (local time) and arrive at Singapore’s Changi International Airport at 6:30 p.m. (local time). In the opposite direction, flights depart Singapore at 1:05 p.m. (local time) and arrive in Phu Quoc at 1:45 p.m. (local time) on the same day.

The new Singapore – Phu Quoc route brings Vietjet’s total number of weekly flights between Vietnam and Singapore to 78, with the airline expecting to serve over half a million passengers annually.

Phu Quoc welcomed more than 2 million visitors in the first quarter of this year, including 474,468 foreign tourists, a 66.5% year-on-year increase.

The island eyes 1 million foreign visitors by the end of this year.

In 2024, Phu Quoc received over 5.9 million visitors overall, up 7.1% from the previous year, including 963,000 international arrivals.

It was voted the world’s second most beautiful island after the Maldives by readers of Travel + Leisure last year.
