India’s largest private airport operator company Adani Airports Holdings LTD (Aahl) has achieved a major feat and raised a $ 750 million funding. This amount has been obtained from an international bank group led by First Abu Dhabi Bank, Barclays Plc and Standard Chartered Bank through External Commercial Borrowings (ECB) from an international bank group.

Aahl your non-artery business

This funding will not only help in repayment of old debt, but will also be used for infrastructure upgrades and capacity expansion in 6 major airports – Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangalore, Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram. Along with this, Aahl is also preparing to take its non-article business-such as retail, duty free, food and beverage and airport services to the next level.

Big future plan

FY 2024–25 Aahl served 94 million passengers, which has a maximum capacity of 110 million. The company aims to reach 300 million passengers by 2040. For this, a Phase-Yij Development has been planned. Navi Mumbai International Airport is an important part of this strategy, which is going to start soon. Its first phase will have a capacity of 20 million passengers, which will later be increased to 90 million per year.

Aahl Ceo Arun Bansal’s statement, “World-class financial institutions have a proof of the possibilities of the aviation sector of India. We are giving priority to sustainable development and technology-supported operations, improving customer experience.”

74% stake in international airport

Established in 2019, Aahl Adani is a complete owned subsidiary of Enterprises Limited. The company is managing 8 major airports in the country and handles 23% passenger traffic and 29% air cargo traffic. It holds a 74% stake in Mumbai International Airport, and also holds 74% stake in Navi Mumbai Airport.

This funding of Adani Airports is a major step towards taking the infrastructure of air travel in India globally. Passengers will not only get great facilities at the airports of the country soon, but are also preparing to create a new record in technology and sustainability.
