The trailer of Metro In Dino was officially unveiled by the makers on Wednesday at a grand event in Mumbai. It was attended by the stellar cast comprising Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Ali Fazal, along with director Anurag Basu himself. The Free Press Journal was present at the event.During the event, the team of Metro...In Dino remembered late actor Irrfan Khan and late singer KK as both were an integral part of the film's spiritual predecessor, Life In A Metro. "The whole soundtrack, the whole film is dedicated to KK and Irrfan Khan. We miss them," Basu said.Mentioning his longstanding association with KK, the filmmaker added, "KK used to complement Pritam's compositions the best. Not just Life In A Metro, but KK has sung in all my movies. He is an important part of my work and my journey. I always miss him."The team of Metro...In Dino spoke at length about their take on love in the fast-paced modern world. Anupam Kher shared, "I came from a small time and in our times, we used to just look at each other for 7-8 months, and that would be enough. A slight brush of our fingers would send shivers down our spine. Falling in love and getting into a relationship in our generation used to take a lot of time, but they lasted for a lifetime. My parents were married for 60 years, and they fell in love with each other again and again in those 60 years.""Today, individual independence is way more important, even when you're in a relationship. People find it difficult to fully commit to someone. Even before they fall in love completely, they put up this wall of being independent. That is how love and falling in love have changed over the years," the 70-year-old explained."Today, along with love, there also comes a pressure of showing it off on social media, and seeing others' love stories there, ending up drawing comparisons. The love of your life falls asleep next to you, but the Instagram on your phone stays up for another half an hour," Pankaj Tripathi humourously added.Aditya Roy Kapur, who is currently dubbed the most eligible bachelor in B-Town, shared what he considers a green flag and a red flag in a person. "For me, the biggest green flag is kindness. Being kind is very important, because if you're planning to be with someone for a long time, you both will face all kinds of situations, and if your partner is inherently kind, then that is definitely going to make life easier.""A red flag is if the person lands in your hall with a suitcase...that can be a problem," he quipped.During the event, Sara Ali Khan opened up about being on an Anurag Basu set for the first time. "I have grown up watching Basu Da's films, and it was a dream come true for me to work with him. I am so honoured and privileged to be on stage here with seven amazing actors and with Basu Da. There are still moments when I cannot believe this is actually happening. And this film also gave me the chance to play a simple, urban girl just trying to figure life out in a metro city. That's something I had not done yet," she shared. As the event came to an end, Basu stated that a lot of moments in Metro...In Dino have been picked from his own life and from the lives of those around him. "This film has a relatability factor for every generation. Every viewer will establish at least one connection with Metro...In Dino. We have made the film with all our hearts, and now we hand it over to you," he concluded.
