Renowned Pakistani showbiz star Ayeza Khan has issued a warning to social media influencers following the tragic murder of TikToker Sana Yousuf.

Taking to her Instagram story, Ayeza shared a special message urging users to understand both the benefits and dangers of social media — especially within the context of our society, where this awareness is critically important.

She emphasized that personal details such as your home address, vehicle number, frequently visited locations, and private information about your children should never be shared on social media.

“The times have changed,” she wrote, “and private information is no longer safe online.”

Ayeza further noted that you do not get to choose who follows you on social media — people from all around the world can access your posts — which is why it’s essential to act responsibly while sharing anything online.

She concluded her message with a heartfelt prayer: “May Allah keep us all safe and in the company of good people.”

Earlier, Sana Yousuf hailed from the village of Chuinj in Upper Chitral and was the daughter of a well-known and active social worker. Her father is a prominent member of the movement “Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz Huqooq-e-Chitral” (Movement for the Protection of Chitral’s Rights).

Sana’s videos often highlighted the traditions of Chitral. In addition to humorous content, she also made motivational videos.

While she was not among the country’s top TikTokers, she was steadily growing her follower base on both TikTok and Instagram.

Sana had two Instagram accounts — one where she posted life updates and humorous content, and another dedicated solely to brand collaborations.

Her brand collaboration account had 90,000 followers, while her personal account boasted over 500,000 followers. On TikTok, she had more than 800,000 followers.

Just ten hours before her murder, Sana posted a video on her Instagram account — now remembered as her final post.
