A devastating car accident occurred in Nashik district, Maharashtra, where a vehicle crashed into a house by the roadside, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, including five members of the same family. One other person sustained serious injuries, as reported by local authorities on Thursday.

The incident took place around 10 PM on Wednesday at Kolhapur Fata in Kalwan taluka. Among the deceased were two minors, according to police officials.

An officer stated, "A family from Satana's Nampur was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony in Nashik when the driver lost control of the car, leading to the collision with a bungalow on the Nashik-Kalwan road."

The crash resulted in the immediate deaths of five passengers, four of whom were from the same family, while a relative succumbed to injuries at the hospital. The victims have been identified as Sheila Vasant Bhadane (62), her daughter Madhavi Metkar (32), and granddaughter Triveni Metkar (4), along with their relative Sarla Bhalchandra Bhadane (50) and the driver Khalik Mahmood Pathan (50).

Additionally, Metkar's 12-year-old son, who was critically injured, passed away after being admitted to the hospital, and their relative Bhalchandra Bhadane (52) is also in serious condition. A case has been registered at Kalwan police station, and an investigation is underway.
