Ukrainian forces have destroyed a missile strike on a Russian missile unit preparing to fire from the Bryansk region. The unit, part of 's 26th missile brigade, had reportedly been targeting a Ukrainian settlement, likely the capital, Kyiv.

Meanwhile five people, including a one-year-old child, have been killed in a on the Ukrainian city of Pryluky, officials said. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine confirmed the deaths following a night-time UAV attack in the Chernihiv region, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky saying a rescuer arriving on the scene had discovered the child, its mother and and grandmother - his wife - among the dead.
