Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra got married in Germany with former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP and senior advocate Pinaki Mishra. The wedding took place on 3 May and was kept completely private. However, a picture of both of them is going viral on social media, in which they look very happy with hand in hand. This marriage has created a stir not only in personal but also political circles.
Mahua Moitra is currently the second time MP from Krishnanagar in West Bengal and is 50 years old. At the same time, Pinaki Mishra is 65 years old and has been a four -time Lok Sabha MP from Puri, Odisha. He is also a senior advocate of the Supreme Court. This is the second marriage of both. Mahua was first married to Denmark’s Financer Lars Brierson, which later turned into a divorce. This is also Pinaki Mishra’s second marriage, and has a son and a daughter from her first marriage.
Mahua Moitra has studied at Mount Holoka College, USA and was an investment banker in Morgan before joining politics. She joined TMC in 2010 and became the first MP in 2019. In 2024, he won the election again and made his place in the Lok Sabha.
Talking about Pinaki Mishra, he won the Lok Sabha election for the first time on a Congress ticket in 1996. He later joined BJD and was a consecutive MP in 2009, 2014, and 2019. However, in 2024, he lost the election to BJP’s Sambit Patra.
