Model and actor Muzammil Ibrahim made several revelations about her and Deepika’s relationship in an interview recently. He told that both of them had dated each other for about two years during the early career days. This was the time when Deepika was stepping into the modeling world and new came to Mumbai.

Muzammil Ibrahim described this relationship as very innocent and memorable. He said that even though he did not have money in those days, he was very happy. Rickshaw rides in the rain, small celebrations and dreams, that life is still in their memories.

‘We were in two years relationship’

In an interview to Siddharth Kannan, Muzammil Ibrahim said that we were in a relationship for two years. When Deepika came to Mumbai, she came in a relationship for the first time and she was me. She was a very confident because she is the daughter of Prakash Padukone, so people knew her. Muzammil recalled those days and said that we were children then. Used to go on a date in a rickshaw in the rain. It was a very cute time. I had a little more money than Deepika then because my earnings had become a little better. Then I bought a car and she was very happy with this. Those moments are still close to my heart, because after then I never date in a rickshaw.

Favorite song playing on the birthday

He also shared a special anecdote of Deepika’s birthday. We did not have much money, but DJ was my friend. I told him to play his favorite song. He played the same song for an hour and a half, just because it was Deepika’s birthday.

Deepika had earlier proposed

Muzammil made a shocking disclosure and said that Deepika had first proposed to me. However, later he ended the relationship. He said that I was a star at that time, he is not. Today he is a superstar. Everyone knows them, no one knows me. I am his big fan. I love watching his movies. She is a very beautiful woman and is doing very well.

No contact after marriage

When Muzammil was asked whether both of them still had a conversation, they said that we used to talk sometimes until they were married. We became friends after the breakup and used to congratulate each other on achievements. But there is no contact since marriage.

Significantly, Deepika Padukone married actor Ranveer Singh in 2019. The pair welcomed their daughter ‘Dua’ in 2024.
