Dr. M.L. Khichar, head of the Meteorological Department of Haryana Agricultural University, said that at present the state is partially affected by Western Disturbance. He said that even today some parts of Haryana will remain cloudy and light rain may occur. Winds will also blow fast, due to which the weather may suddenly become cold in some areas.
However, this change in weather is not going to last for long. According to Dr. Khichar, the direction of the winds will change once again from June 6. Western winds will replace north-eastern winds and the weather will become completely dry. From June 6 to June 9, the day temperature will increase and dusty winds can also be seen.
Today’s weather: Summer season will return again
On Wednesday, light drizzle was seen in districts like Hisar, Sirsa, Kaithal and Karnal in the state. This rain brought relief to people from the heat for a while but as soon as the clouds cleared, bright sunshine came out and again the heat and humidity troubled the people.
The Meteorological Department says that in the coming days, the temperature will increase rapidly during the afternoon and people will have to deal with scorching sun and humidity. In this new phase of heat, the elderly, children and sick people may be more affected.
Doctors advised
The changing weather every day has also had a bad effect on people’s health. Senior doctor Ajay of Civil Hospital said that these days about 300 patients are coming to the OPD every day for treatment. 10 percent of these patients are suffering from cough, cold and fever. Especially small children, the elderly and those with low immunity are getting more affected.
Dr. Ajay said that viral infection spreads rapidly due to the sunshine and humidity in the atmosphere after heavy rain. That is why people should be especially cautious. If anyone has fever, sore throat or difficulty in breathing, contact the doctor immediately.
It may rain in these districts today
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall may occur in many districts of Haryana today i.e. on Thursday. Especially in areas like Hisar, Sirsa, Kaithal, Karnal, Jind, Panipat, and Kurukshetra, it will remain cloudy and there is a possibility of drizzle at some places. Along with this, strong winds and dust storms may also occur at some places, due to which people have been advised to remain alert.
The weather becomes cool after the rain, but when the rain stops and the sun comes out, the level of heat and humidity increases very rapidly. In such a situation, elderly and sick people should avoid going out especially during the afternoon.
