Serbian Tennis legend Novak Djokovic and rising Italian star Jannik Sinner will compete in a blockbuster Roland Garros 2025 semi-final on June 6, Friday to book a spot in the decider. Although Djokovic is ahead by 2-1 in the three occasions both have faced one another, it's worth looking back what happened the last time they competed in a grand slam match.The most recent grand slam encounter between the two came during the 2024 Australian Open semi-final when Sinner defeated the veteran 6-1 6-2 6-7 6-3, as per ATP. The match strangely saw Djokovic out-of-sorts as he committed a staggering 54 unforced errors against his Italian counterpart, who made only 32.After the match, Djokovic had admitted that it was one of the worst grand slam games he has ever been a part of. As quoted by BBC Sport, the 38-year-old had stated:"It is not a very pleasant feeling playing this way. I want to congratulate Sinner for playing a great match and a great tournament so far. He's deservedly in the final. He outplayed me completely. I was shocked with my level - in a bad way. There was not much I was doing right in the first two sets. I guess this is one of the worst Grand Slam matches I've ever played."The other two occasions includes the Wimbledon 2022 quarter-final when Djokovic bounced back from a two-set deficit to beat Sinner.
