IPL There has always been a combination of cricket talents, where big and experienced players play with new and promising youth. One of the many special aspects of this most difficult T20 league is the prize of emerging player. In every season, the award is given to a young cricketer who performs brilliantly throughout the tournament. Since the start of the IPL in 2008, many young players have received this honor with their ability and hard work. Let’s see the list of players from 2008 to 2025 who received the award.
1. 2008 – Srivats Goswami (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
In the first season of IPL, wicketkeeper-batsman Srivats Goswami performed well by scoring 82 runs in 4 matches and won the first Emerging Player Award. His fast eye and quiet batting proved him a great young player.
2. 2009 – Rohit Sharma (Deccan Chargers)
Young Rohit Sharma scored 362 runs in 16 matches and took 11 wickets. He helped the Deccan Chargers win the title. His beautiful batting and bowling made him an important player for the team.
3. 2010 – Saurabh Tiwari (Mumbai Indians)
Saurabh Tiwari caught everyone’s attention with aggressive batting and faster runs. His best fielding also made him special and he soon managed to make it to Team India.
4. 2011 – Iqbal Abdullah (Kolkata Knight Riders)
Left -arm spinner Iqbal Abdullah took 16 wickets for KKR. His bowling had control and diversity, which helped the team a lot in the middle overs.
5. 2012 – Mandeep Singh (Kings XI Punjab)
Mandeep Singh scored 432 runs for Punjab in 2012, which was the highest in that season. His continuous good batting strengthened the team.
6. 2013 – Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals)
Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson showed the maturity of his game by scoring 206 runs. His stylish batting and patience under pressure makes him the future star.
7. 2014 – Akshar Patel (Kings XI Punjab)
All -rounder Akshar Patel took 17 wickets and also scored important runs in the lower order. His bowling and batting balanced the team.
8. 2015 – Shreyas Iyer (Delhi Daredevils)
Shreyas Iyer The aggressive batting and good technology made him the best young player of 2015.
9. 2016 – Mustafizur Rahman (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman took 17 wickets and gave SRH the first title at a low economy rate. He became the first foreign emerging player in the IPL.
10. 2017 – Basil Thampi (Gujarat Lions)
Fast bowler Basil Thampi took 11 wickets. His fast bowling and aggression showed him a hope for India.
11. 2018 – Rishabh Pant (Delhi Daredevils)
Rishabh Pant scored 684 runs and won everyone’s heart with his explosive batting. His fearlessness made him the top young player of 2018.
12. 2019 – Shubman Gill (Kolkata Knight Riders)
Shubman Gill scored 296 runs, including three half -centuries. His restrained batting gave him a special identity.
13. 2020 – Devdutt Padikkal (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Devdutt Padikkal strengthened the team with a luxurious stroke and quiet mind.
14. 2021 – Ruturaj Gaekwad (Chennai Super Kings)
Ruturaj scored 635 runs and scored four half -centuries. His classical batting won CSK.
15. 2022 – Umran Malik (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Fast bowler Umran Malik took 22 wickets and bowled fast for 150 km/h, which surprised everyone.
16. 2023 – Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rajasthan Royals)
Yashasvi scored 625 runs scored by scoring five half -centuries and a century.
