The accused mother, whose name is said to be Anamika, has previously been the district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha. However, the BJP has distanced itself from the matter. District President Ashutosh Sharma clarified that Anamika was removed from all party posts in August 2024 itself and now she has nothing to do with the party. The party has also issued an official statement clarifying its position in the matter, strongly condemning the incident.
