According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, the number of active cases in the country has crossed 5 thousand. Kerala is the most affected in this. It is followed by Gujarat, West Bengal and then Delhi. In view of the increasing cases, mock drills are being conducted to check facility-level preparedness for COVID-19. All states have been instructed to ensure availability of oxygen, isolation beds, ventilators and essential medicines.

ACMO Dr. Tikam Singh said, 32 more people have been confirmed to have covid-19 in the district. Now the total number of patients has gone up to 190. These include 79 men and 111 women. At present, 3 patients are admitted in the hospital. A three and a half month old girl has died. This is the first death from corona this year. The girl was undergoing treatment at Chacha Nehru Hospital in Delhi. She died a week ago. After the information came on the portal, the health department is contacting the family members.
