Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Six people were arrested for attacking Coco Farm owner and two others after an argument two days ago, police said on Friday. While trying to escape on seeing the police, the accused rammed their SUV into a wall and were injured.
According to Lasudia police station in charge Taresh Kumar Soni, Rahul Hajari, a resident of Tulsi Nagar, who is the owner of the farm, informed the police that on June 3, he had an argument with a person named Komal Shukla and had forbidden him to come to the farmhouse.
The next day at around 1.30 PM, he (Rahul) was at the farmhouse with his nephew Rajvardhan, his friend and farmhouse staff when Komal Shukla’s brother Mohak Shukla alias Monu reached there in an SUV with his aides and made the watchman open the gate.
He later thrashed Rahul with sticks due to which he received severe injuries in his head, eyes, cheeks, hands and legs. His nephew Rajvardhan and a woman employee who tried to intervene were also injured. On the basis of the statements given by Rahul, a case under sections 109, 115(2), 296, 332 B and 3 (5) of the BNS was registered by the police.
CCTV camera footage showed that six people had reached the spot in a silver coloured SUV. In the footage, Mohak alias Monu Shukla and his aides were seen fighting with Rahul.
On June 5, while searching for the accused, police received information that the accused was sitting in an SUV with his aides in the New Loha Mandi area. As the team chased the SUV, the accused tried to escape but their vehicle stopped after hitting a wall. After this, while running away from there, the accused suffered severe injuries in their hands and legs and were arrested.
They were identified as Mohak Shukla of Scheme Number 78, Anil Barvele of Patnipura area, Kalu GIr, a resident of Pandhan in Khandwa and presently living in Lasudia area, Sandeep Bagle of Lasudia, Ranjeet Bagle of Khandwa who was presently living in Lasudia area and the SUV owner Rajdeep Nayak of Shiv Vatika.
Police claimed that the accused had first consumed the liquor and later committed the crime. However, investigation into the case is ongoing.
