BMW Will Keep Making The Z4

BMW has extended the production of the Z4 roadster till May of 2026 because people are back in love with the roadster again. The car was supposed to go out of production in October of 2025 but the sales figures jumped 13.1% which made BMW reconsider and they shifted the end of production March of 2026 and now it will be produced till May.

This is mostly due to the introduction of the manual transmission in the Z4. People cannot get enough of the manual roadster and this was definitely what saved the Z4. We wonder why BMW did not do it way before if that was the case but we also believe that this is just public response to get the last of a pure sports car with a manual transmission and which can also get its roof down.

The Z4 is only available in the M40i form currently in the USA and is the engine which is available with the manual transmission. The 3.0L inline six turbo petrol engine produces 340 bhp and 500 Nm of torque.

The Z4 shares its platform with the Toyota Supra, which will also be ending production by May of 2026. Toyota has new plans for the Supra though but there are no real plans for the Z4 to get a new updated version.
