Miguel Oliveira appeared calm in the face of rumours linking Toprak Razgatlioglu to Yamaha. The Portuguese rider said the Turkish star would be welcome on the grid, and he trusts the team's decisions regarding the future.
Asked to comment on the speculation and Yamaha's apparent openness to Toprak, Miguel replied candidly: ‘I mean, I said I said yesterday that Toprak is welcome to MotoGP. And, if there is a window for anyone to sign in, yeah, why not?’.
The Portuguese rider added that he's not opposed to more competition, though he stressed nothing is confirmed: ‘Then, of course, if you have if Yamaha needs to make space, to to fit in Toprak, well, they they will have to see, but I trust on their decision. And, I’m not, I’m not resistant to the idea, but there is basically not not much more I can say about it. It’s not official. It’s a rumor. It’s not signed, so I I don’t know what I can say’.
On the Superbike World Championship, Oliveira said he follows it with interest: ‘I watch the races in Superbike. Yeah. I like it. It’s it’s different. It’s a completely different sport It is. Than MotoGP. I this I can tell you’.
Oliveira's relaxed tone reflects his maturity, even as his own spot on the grid could be under discussion. Still, he remains focused on the job at hand.
