Bhagyashree, known for her role in Maine Pyaar Kiya, received a sweet surprise from her husband, Himalaya Dassani as he proposed to her for the first time—35 years after their wedding. Sharing heartfelt moments on Friday, the actress posted photos on social media of her husband going down on one knee while singing Diljit Dosanjh's soulful track Ishq Di Baajiyaan from Soorma.

Bhagyashree wrote, "Hubby's Proposal! Secret let out...No matter what everyone feels about Himalayji being a romantic husband.. he wasn't so earlier and I kept telling him that he never really had proposed to me. So here I was, midst of a photoshoot & to my surprise he just interrupted us with this song. (Diljit would have cried to hear this version tho) But yay! Hubby decided to finally to go on his knees."

Bhagyashree and Himalaya tied the knot on January 19, 1989, and are blessed with two children, Avantika Dassani and Abhimanyu Dasani, both of whom are actors.

In an earlier interview with Hauterrfly, Bhagyashree revealed how she and her husband keep their bond strong after 35 years of marriage. She shared, "We go on date nights. At least once a month, we plan. It's been 35 years since we got married, but we plan that this night is only for us. And we don’t go together; we go separately. He doesn’t know what I’m wearing. I wear something special, and then we spend an evening together."
