Rob Walter, who brought South Africa to high in white ball cricket, has now become the head coach of the New Zealand cricket team. He has been appointed coach of all three format -test, ODI and T20 of Kiwi team. The New Zealand Cricket Board has officially announced that Rob Walter will stay with the team for the next three years and join the team before the visit to Zimbabwe in July.
Farewell to South Africa, now New Zealand new direction
Rob Walter spent a spectacular term with South Africa. Team in his coaching:
2023 ODI World Cup reached the semi -finals,
Played the final in T20 World Cup 2024,
And qualified for the Champions Trophy 2025.
Now he will prepare New Zealand in big tournaments like World Test Championship 2025-27, ODI World Cup 2027, and T20 World Cup 2026 and 2028. Not only this, he will also be with New Zealand in a possible cricket entry of 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

In Rob Walter’s coaching, a player like Henrik Klassen showed tremendous improvement.
Klassen scored a brilliant century for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024 and the franchise retained him for Rs 23 crore due to being in this form.
