New Delhi: One-time Grand Slam champion Coco Gauff of America has won the womens singles final match of the French Open 2025. She defeated world number-1 player Aryna Sabalenka in the French Open womens singles final match on Saturday. Coco Gauff has created history by winning the womens singles title by defeating Sabalenka. In the French Open womens singles final played on Saturday American player Coco Gauff defeated world number one Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus 6-7 (5) 6-2 6-4 to win the title. This is world number two Gauffs second Grand Slam title and this is her first major victory on clay court. Coco Gauff won the French Open 2025 title: In fact on Saturday June 7 21-year-old Coco Gauff made a brilliant comeback and won her first French Open title. In the thrilling womens singles final match played at Court Philippe-Chatrier she defeated world number-1 Aryna Sabalenka 6-7 (5) 6-2 6-4. With this win she (Coco Gauff) won her first French Open title. Earlier in 2022 when Gauff was 18 years old she lost to then world number 1 Iga Swiatek in the final of the French Open. However this time the American star did not make any mistake and took full advantage of her opportunity and defeated the world number-1 player to win the Grand Slam.
